WELCOME BACK TO LEARNING!

Let’s get back to baseline—and beyond!

We couldn’t be happier to welcome families back to our center! It’s been a long break for many of us, and we’re eager to see the children and get back into learning routines.

So much has happened over the last few months—we all have a little rebuilding to do! Our teachers and staff are here to support your family as children get back into the groove of learning and socializing. Our approach to welcoming children into our centers is built upon our existing curricular program and enhanced with new layers of support.

Here’s how we’ll do it:

Make sure They're Ready

Many children have spent weeks (if not months) outside of their usual academic environments. At-home learning has been a useful tool to keep learning going, but nothing can replace a full-day filled with engaging learning experiences with their favorite teacher!

This part of our education plan focuses on helping each child get ready for elementary school!

Our targeted readiness support for all ages provides:

  • Additional literacy and numeracy experiences to help with school readiness and learning loss
  • Creative, project-based learning to keep curriculum experiences fresh and fun

Nurture Their Social and emotional skills

Extra time at home has its benefits, like strengthening family bonds. But when children have been isolated from peers and other trusted adults, it can take some time to get comfortable again in social settings.

This part of our education plan focuses on helping each child rekindle school relationships, express big feelings, practice flexibility, and grow independence.

We’ll boost connection by:

  • Rebuilding children’s relationships with teachers and friends
  • Remembering routines and practicing socialization skills
  • Creating a sense of security and belonging
  • Supporting problem-solving, self-regulation, and conflict-resolution skills

We’ll practice communication by:

  • Finding opportunities to process experiences and share feelings together
  • Encouraging the expression of emotions and asking for help to get needs met

We’ll build confidence by:

  • Relearning academic and social independence without consistent family supervision
  • Practicing skills that build flexibility and resilience after experiencing isolation from peers and a heightened emotional climate

Reconnect To Their Community

There’s no doubt: Our world is forever changed! Now, we need to make sure it’s changed for the better.

This part of our education plan provides children with community service experiences that can be shared with peers and family. Being in service to others is a wonderful way to grow children’s empathy and compassion, and give them a well-earned dose of pride!

Students can care for the community by:

  • Working together on a project that helps give back to our local community
  • Engaging in a collective effort that builds understanding
  • Bonding with teachers and classmates through service to others

Our goal now (and forever) is to prioritize safety first, inspire a love of learning, and build confidence for life!
